Activate + enhance spaces along S. Henderson St. for community, recreational, and opportunities.
Create a safe + vibrant cultural corridor that represents the diversity of Rainier Beach.
Feature art by neighborhood artists + youth.
Engage community, businesses, and property owners in the street design process.
Background
2012 - Rainier Beach Neighborhood Plan identifies S. Henderson St. as an important corridor.
2016 - Rainier Beach community organizations establish the Link2Lake vision for an improved connection of S. Henderson St.
2023 - Rainier Beach Action Coalition (RBAC) builds on the Link2Lake vision and engages community members to identify priorities for S. Henderson St.
2024 - RBAC is continuing community outreach to develop new Street Designs to be implemented.
